Chapter 27

Ultimate attack

Cynder’s body twitched. She was alive, but only because the spear missed any vital organs. “Cynder!!” Cried Spyro, rushing to her side. Malefor walked up to Cynder and wrenched the spear from her body. He raised it again and aimed at Cynder’s chest. “How pathetic!! You’ll die here and now!!” cried Malefor. All of a sudden, Aaron cried out, “Get out of my body, Malefor!!” in the rage, the spear lands in Cynder’s back leg. She roars in agony as the spear slices her muscles. She coughs up blood. Spyro lays down next to Cynder and Draco, Sky and Sabra Stand in front of her, their energy 90% spent. Aaron struggles for a few more minutes, then his eyes turn red again and Malefor takes over. Malefor uses Aaron’s ability to create a bow and arrow and aims it at Sabra. “Time to die, Ice Dragon!!” cried Malefor, releasing the arrow, which sped fast toward her.

Just before it hits her, a crystal wall appeared in front of them, rebounding the shot into a giant ape, killing it. “What!!? Cried Malefor angrily. Aaron’s limbs were then bound by Crystal and his feet sunk into the ground. “What is this!!?” cried Malefor, struggling to break free. “Who did that?” wondered Draco, looking around to see amber flying at them. She lands next to them as Malefor yet again tries to break free. “Nice timing, Amber!” Said Draco, using his last bits of energy to encase Cynder in a cocoon of healing crystal. Malefor tries again to break free, and this time, he succeeds. The crystal shatters into a million pieces. “dang!! Everyone take flight!! We’ll have to force Malefor out of Aaron’s Body.” Cried Amber. Everyone jumps into the air, Draco carrying Cynder.

“How dare you mess with me!!  feel the Power of Darkness!!” Cried Malefor, slamming Aaron’s claws together. “Dark Supernova!!!!” Cried Malefor. “Amber!! Create a crystal shield, now!! That move will incinerate us!!” Cried Sabra. Amber nods and surrounds everyone with a crystal barrier. Aaron’s body begins to glow dark purple and that energy gathers around his body. When he is surrounded by a dark ball of energy, he sends the energy outward, moving at lightning speed and disintegrating everything in it’s path. The energy slams into Amber’s barrier and Amber struggles to keep the barrier up.  “Wow!! What a powerful move!! Not even the strongest of  Malefor’s troops could last more than 3 seconds against that.”  Said Daire, staring in amazement. “What move is that exactly, Sabra? Did he even tell you about this?” Asked Draco, helping Amber anyway he could.

“Yeah, he did. The move is as Malefor called it: Dark Supernova!!  He takes his fire and compresses it in the darkness in his body. He then forms that compressed darkness around his body until his whole body is surrounded to form a dark mass. When that mass reaches a certain size, he releases the energy so fast that the energy is hot enough to disintegrate rock in seconds.” Explained Sabra. “oh my gosh. Really? Did he learn it from Malefor?” Asked Amber. “ he told me that not even Malefor was able to do it. That’s why Malefor keeps taking over Aaron. He wants to learn that technique for himself and wipe out all existence on this planet.” Said Sabra sadly.

The attack dissipates and Amber lowers the barrier. “that.. attack.. was.. not natural. He.. is.. powerful….” Panted Amber, sweat running down her face from the exertion. After the barrier was fully lowered, they beheld the destruction of the Supernova. Everything was ashes from trees to apes. Even the Twil  Mountains were damaged from his technique. There were many fires still burning. “what power!!”exclaimed Draco. They turn to Aaron, who has fainted from the loss of energy. Amber encases him in a healing crystal.  Sky returns to her normal form. “do we still have that Twil crystal!?” asked Sabra. “Sure do! I grabbed it as soon as Aaron’s barrier went down.” Said Sky, showing the crystal in her outstretched claw. Sabra wipes her brow, sighing. “We better get back. We have to revive Dusk still.” Said Daire. They all nod and they fly off through the open portal Sabra activated and they fly towards the temple.
